Iowa ENA Members present Senator Tom Harkin with National ENA's Public Service Awards.  From left to right: Dan Schopf, Katie Heldt, Susan Carzoli, Joni Thornton, Senator Tom Harkin, Diane Cassady, Julie Hensley.

The Public Service Award is made to sitting members of Congress for longstanding commitment and support in advancing nursing and health care in the United States. Senator Harkin is being honored along with Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) for their relentless effort to construct a political strategy that would increase the health, education and training programs in the FY 2007 budget process.
